Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Monday, July 7, 2014
One of the most common, but important equipment used in official soccer matches are soccer corner flags. These are found on the four corners of the playing field as an indicator of the field’s boundaries. While it may not really be that much of an effect without, official and standard matches requires them. When purchased, they are in sets of four, though you may be lucky enough to be able to acquire them by piece, especially if you only need to replace some of them. These small flags are simply made – a sturdy pole and a bright colored flag in high contrast to the color of the grass.
Some of the more common colors used in corner flags are yellow, black, white, and even red. Sometimes, other designs would include a high contrast combination of black and white stripes, or perhaps a checkered motif. The poles are usually more than a centimeter in diameter or even larger to be sturdy enough. Materials used are PVC or similar like acetate.
The height of these soccer corner flags are approximately 5 feet in height as part of the standard dimensions indicated in the official handbook of the international soccer community.

Mounting these corner flags on the ground is more than just the usual thrust into the ground in a stab like fashion. Ground screws or screw-type stakes are used for this. Another type of ground anchoring apparatus is a spring loaded device which allows more flexibility in case players or the ball hits the corner flag.
