Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Monday, August 18, 2014
Today, people tend to lack regard to their world flag, thereby showing disrespect to their own nation. The flag actually stands for the virtues and principles that our forefathers established centuries ago. The flag flies high to stand for the many sacrifices that brave men and women went through just to free our country from oppression. For many years, people take the flag for granted and do not even know the proper rules on how to take proper care of it.
About half a century ago, people were more educated on how to care for a flag. They would show it the respect it deserves by folding it properly and burning a tattered banner with honour. Now, only the armed forces and scouts know how to handle and keep a flag well. Schools stopped teaching students about flag etiquette. There are even students who do not know how to sing the national anthem. If you go through the old neighbourhood, there are still some houses that display the flags with pride. Now, the numbers of displayed flags in front of homes and offices have decreased significantly.

There are even people who tear or destroy the flag, let it touch the ground or fail to clean it regularly. It is important that we maintain the rules of flag etiquette as a model for others. The world flag should be treated with more respect and dignity. In the long run, other countries will also look up to us if we know how to display our banner with honour.
