The USA is only a few hundred years old compared to several other nations that span thousands of years, but in its young existence has already molded the proper principles and morals that made it into a supreme power quickly. Historically, America was discovered by European explorers and has transformed much into a solidified union of 50 various states. Every state has internal powers but work together to uphold the values of liberty and equality for every person.
The road to victory and freedom was not easy. Thousands of lives were lost and blood, sweat and tears were poured out to make America the great nation it is today.
In the beginning, the United States was composed of colonies with different types of people. There were ordinary citizens, soldiers, craftsmen, criminals and adventurers who wanted to get away from Europe to build a new life in the newfound land as well as get away from the high taxes set by the crown upon them. In the later years, the initial colonies sparked a revolution that successfully freed them from the clutches of the European powers and led them to start a new country, naming it the United States of America.
State flags soon followed to stand for each new state. These were widely used as the settlers continued to explore from east to west. The flags can easily identify ally from foe and were also indicative of the values that each state represent.
Now, there are fifty autonomous states that practice internal powers but ultimately adhere to the idea of a single unified nation. Every state has a function in contributing for its own benefit and for the benefit of the whole country. The type of government and regulations used by the USA is unique and not normally used in most countries.
The United States of America at present is a single strong country comprised of fifty states and state flags that still uphold the same standards that the first thirteen stood for centuries ago.

1. Respect – you have to handle the American flag with respect. There are many clothes and apparel that resembles the national flag. Although it has been a trend, but you have to stray away from this to show respect to the flag especially if you wear it on parties and other events which are not related to a national event. Never vandalize a flag in public, burning or stepping on it in public is a crime. It clearly destroys the image, dignity and pride of the people it stands for, showing disrespect.
2. Placement – when displaying it in your front yard or patio, make sure that you have a sturdy pole to place it in.
