Custom Street Pole Banners - Custom Feather Flags

Tuesday, July 8, 2014
Watching soccer matches either live or on television would allow you to see the throngs of audiences rooting for their favorite team. On the field, you would see two teams in pure athletic awesomeness battle it out to get the soccer ball through the goal and score a hard earned uproar of approval. Among these figures of mayhem, you may not notice a few but very important pieces of equipment that official soccer matches cannot do without – soccer corner flags. These are those tall flags on the four corners of the playing field that indicate the edges.
These corner flags use bright and contrasting colors to be easily seen by the players while in play. Common colors used are yellow, orange, black, white, and sometimes a combination of contrasting designs such as black and white stripes or checkered. The flag poles are made up of acetate or PVC. Some may be foldable on two or three joints, but usually a straight 5-foot tall pole was preferred. The diameter of these poles range from half a centimeter to a little under an inch across.

Soccer corner flags are mounted firmly on the playing corners of the playing field with the use of a soft screw set that keeps the tread deep enough in the ground. Other designs that are used to consider flexibility have springs on the ground and the bottom anchor of these poles to allow them to swing back and give way when a player or ball bumps into it rather than slug it out – which ends usually in a broken pole.
