Some people make mistakes when displaying their flags because they have not read the rules and guidelines on how these should be set up. Some students set up a school flag in front of their homes but the homeowners group will advise them to take it down because it violates certain rules and codes. Some residential places actually prohibit people from displaying any type of flag, even a school flag, in front of a house.
Civil Code Section 1353.6 is the governing law over non-commercial flags, banners, signs and posters. The law provides that non-commercial flags, posters and banners cannot be stopped by associations from being displayed unless these contain symbols and images that are contrary to law or pose a threat to other people. The signs and posters should measure up to nine square feet only while banners and non-commercial flags should be no bigger than 15 square feet.
Some associations will allow you to display a school flag in front of your home if it is smaller than 15 square feet. These associations are aware of the law and policies.
Some laws also protect those who wish to display the American flag. Civil Code Section 1353.5 allows the displaying of the United States flag. The California state flag, however, cannot be displayed just anywhere, according to Civil Code 1353.6, which provides for the rule on the setting up of non-commercial signs.
Signs that indicate the sale or lease of property cannot be fully prohibited. Civil Code Section 712 to 713 provides for the restrictions in displaying these. School days have returned once again so it will be common to see school flags waving in various places. You should spend time with your kids planning what to wear to school as well as arranging the things they need for class. Put a sign on the closet door to remind them of all things necessary. There are kids that have trouble finding their other pair of shoes in the morning. You can leave these shoes by the front door so that they never forget.
Some children also pack their own snacks and lunch for school so they follow a certain system that fits them. My daughter likes to pack her things so that she can prepare and have more time dressing up before school. My son likes to spend the last few minutes packing his lunch. Regardless of how your children may prepare their meals and things, the important thing is that they learn how to organize. I help them by preparing color-coded containers and putting labels on their things. I also make a shopping list of items and put these by the refrigerator so my children know what are available. If my daughter forgets her lunch, I might bring it to her to school. On other days, I might tell her to bring extra money just in case. Some parents find that not bringing left lunch to school will help their children remember better the next time. Back to school flags are effective reminders and will convey a good message to children.

I am mother to five grown kids and believe that organization skills are among the most important lessons that every child should learn, despite their young age. I found that children who are taught how to organize at a young age are more likely to become responsible and disciplined later in life, in and out of school. You teach kids how to get ready for school by arranging their things, studying their lessons and doing their homework. They even follow a rigid sleeping and waking schedule so that they are never late in class and have enough energy to maintain focus. A back to school flag is also a great idea to increase your kids’ interest in school.
In the beginning, let your children pick their favorite colors. They can choose the tones that they can use for all their items. For example, your first child might pick blue then the second will choose red. All blue items then belong to your first kid while all red stuff goes to your second child. This can be very useful especially if you need to buy two or more of the same item. Your children should further be taught how to organize their schedules per day or week. Educate your child how to use an alarm clock and remind them of their homework and other tasks through a back to school flag.

For weeks, you might have been left worried about preparations for the first day of school. Being a parent can spell a lot of worry especially if it is your first time to send your kids to school.
First of all, I remember saying our prayers so that God would protect us and keep our day productive. Next, we did our “Pledge of Allegiance” to the American Flag as well as the Christian Flag. Although we have not seen those flags before, we saw pictures on the internet and we let the kids memorize the pledge in preparation for the actual formation. We also prepared a Back to School flag.
After doing all these, we gathered at the school table and began reading the holy Bible.
I recall the oldest student, a third grader, do his bookwork independently. There were three other students that went and listened to the teacher in classroom-like fashion. The two youngest students sat to listen to a story then answered questions after. There was also one second-grade student who wrote down his answers after the story and did more schoolwork long after the other two went home.
I personally prefer such style of teaching. I feel like I am with my family because of the other students learning at the same time. I do not like learning alone. When learning language, we used clay and formed things that started with certain letters so that we would master the alphabet. We did more book work after.
